     The term "hardscape" refers to the inanimate (i.e., non-living) elements of a landscape. Hardscapes are the portion of your landscape that provide form, utility, and function - and add grandeur and structure to your traditional landscape. A successful hardscape design and implementation will define space in a way that creates continuity and establishes flow between your house and your outdoor living area.
